In the farm steading is a cylindrical tower some 17 feet in external diameter at base by 28 feet in height, which is built in two tiers and terminates in a cone-shaped slated roof rising within a projecting and crenellated parapet and surmounted by a weather vane. At ground level and also on the tier above is a doorway with semicircular head. The tower appears to be that of an 18th century windmill but is now devoted to other purposes.

RCAHMS 1924, visited 8 July 1913.
