Replicas of recumbent stone circles have been constructed in recent years. Full-scale reproductions include: The Breemie Stanes at Broomhill, Skene (NJ 76931 10958), which was erected for a New Age festival; another at the Archaeolink Prehistory Park, Oyne (NJ 66857 25680), which was created for educational purposes; and yet another in a private garden at Corse Hill, Durris (NJ 82134 95801), but in this case merely built for the owner’s amusement. In addition, there is a miniature recumbent stone circle only 5m in diameter beside the road at Mill of Birkenbower (NJ 46418 20974).
