A watching brief was conducted during the excavation of a cable trench which ran parallel to the presumed alignment of the Antonine Wall features, immediately S of the Scheduled area, westwards to NS 502 722. No features of archaeological significance were identified. All finds recovered were modern or pre-recent in date.
