Broomfield, now the premises of the local rugby club, is an attractive two-storeyed house, with one-storeyed supporting wings. It is a reminder of some of the prestigious housing built in and around the town in the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

Information from ‘Historic Cumnock: The Archaeological Implications of Development’ (1995).
