NT 39176 56081 A watching brief was carried out, 22 August 2016, during machine stripping of the area to the W of Gala View Bungalow in advance of construction of a house. A number of modern machine excavated pits containing animal remains were uncovered. A rubble-filled field drain was recorded running diagonally across the SE corner of the trench. A small quantity of modern pottery sherds was observed within the topsoil.
