NB 922 021 A field survey of Eilean a’ Chleirich (an RSPB reserve as the whole island is one of the noted breeding locations for storm petrels) was undertaken, 11–15 June 2014, to enhance the existing records for sites on the now uninhabited island. A few new structures were recorded, associated with sheep handling to get stock off the island in the 19th and

20th centuries, but otherwise the opportunity was taken to add greater detail for features previously recorded by aerial photography and during Frank Fraser Darling’s stay on the island in 1936 and 1937.
