NO 20351 95524 Access to this site could not be gained and therefore it is unknown whether this building remains thatched. The grid reference held by Historic Environment Scotland on the listing (NO 1776 9253), as well as that held by Canmore appears to be incorrect as it identifies a site to the east of Invercauld House, whereas the description states it is located to the north of the house. The summerhouse is listed as being 'mid 19th century. Simple, rustic, timber hexagonal summerhouse with open entrance to S and thatch roof, situated in woods on steep slope to N of Invercauld House and with extensive views to the house and surrounding policies'.
