The remains of this Second World War mine-watcher’s observation post are situated on the stony north bank of the River Clyde. Brick-built on a concrete plinth and with a flat concrete roof, the post has been undermined by the river and it now leans heavily to the south. This listing has caused the front (present SW wall), which once contained a wide aperture, to fall outwards, and the rear (NE) wall to fall inwards, partially blocking the entrance at the NE end of the SE side. A photograph of the post taken from the south is visible at www.clydesideimages.co.uk/a-wildlife-walk-along-the-erskine-shore.html
