Partick station was opened on 1 May 1896 by the Lanarkshire and Dumbartonshire Rly, which has amalgamted into the Caledonian Rly. It was renamed Kelvin Hall Station by the British Transport Commission on 15 June 1959, and closed to regular passenger traffic on 5 October 1964.
