There are the remains of a substantial rectangular structure - a house(?) - immediately below the road. The ground is now quite boggy here, presumably as a result of the roadworks.

The structure is aligned NE-SW and measures c9m by c3m across well constructed walls c1m wide and at least c0.5m high. There appears to be an entrance centrally-placed in the SE wall and may have been an opposing one in the NW wall. The SW gable wall seems to have been altered at some stage, as one corner is rounded rather than at a right-angle.

Internally there are the remains of a wall dividing the structure into two at c 1.5m from the SW gable end. In the larger part of the structure there seems to be a slight hollow c0.6m in diameter.
