Scope and Content Entrance hall of Preston Lodge, Cupar, Fife Preston Lodge was begun in around 1623 by James Williamson and Isabel Heggie. It was bought by James Preston of Denbrae in 1690 and extended to the north. In about 1765, the whole building was remodelled for William Paston, a goldsmith from London. The staircase, like most of the rest of the interior, dates from about 1690. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
