Originally two storeys and an attic in height, the house is rectangular in shape and is now a roofless ruin, as can be seen in this aerial photograph. The weathered lintel over the entrance bears the name and arms of David Crichton, along with the date 1694. The house was remodelled and extended in 1720 and again in c.1800.
