Scope and Content Symbol stone at Abdie Churchyard, Lindores, Fife The symbol stone has carvings on two faces. It originally stood on a hill above the village of Lindores. It was then built into a wall and used as both a sundial. It also has a bench mark carved on it. This is a view of the N face. It has two symbols incised on it. These are the triple-disc and bar and a crescent an V-rod. Much of the detail is obscured by the later Roman numerals for the sundial and the bench mark. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
