Scope and Content Keithick House, Perth & Kinross, from south This shows the house with the single-storeyed service wing on the right and a sundial on the lawn in front. Three-storeyed towers flank the two-storeyed and attic central four bays. The bayed tower on the left has a blind rectangular recess on the second floor and the tower on the right has a conservatory projecting from it. The service wing has a dormer window which allows more light into the kitchen. The ground floor from the left contained the library (first three bays), the dining room (middle three bays) with family bedrooms on the first floor and servant bedrooms on the second floor and attic. The tower on the right contained a housekeeper's room on the ground floor with a nursery on the first floor and servants' bedrooms on the attic floor. The bay to the left contained the naperies (table linen stores) on the ground floor, a nursery on the first floor with servants' bedrooms in the attic. The square extension of the service wing contained the laundry with a scullery in the bay in the centre and the kitchen in the bay to the left. Keithick House was designed by David Whyte and built for W E Collinswood between 1818 and 1823. David Bryce (1803-76) changed the porch and offices in 1839, and Maclaren, Soutar & Salmond made further alterations in 1926. Morant painted an Adam Revival decorative scheme in the drawing room.
