Scope and Content Titled: 'Kildrummy Castle, 74 g.W.W.' Notes: 'Where Robert Bruce left his queen with the Countess of Buchan under the care of his youngest brother Nigel Bruce but the castle was attacked and taken by the English 1306. Nigel was put to death and the ladies imprisoned and treated with great severity. The Countess, who had placed the crown on Bruce's head, was imprisoned at Berwick in an iron cage.'
