Scope and Content South-east gate, Ibrox Stadium, Nos 100-70 Edmiston Drive, Glasgow, from south Glasgow Rangers Football Club started in 1872 with two brothers, Peter and Moses McNeil, and two friends, Peter Campbell and William McBeath. who called the Club 'Argyle'. The Club moved to Ibrox in 1887 and the Main Stand, a listed building, dates from 1928. This is a detail of the south-east gate of Ibrox Stadium viewed from the south. The railings are painted blue, the colour of Rangers FC, and the lettering is white with thin red margins. The gates were erected in 1929 and echo the designs of the Glasgow architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The highest number of goals scored by one Rangers player in a season was 44 goals in 1931-2 by Sam English. The most capped Rangers player is Ally McCoist who has 60 'caps' for Scotland.
