Scope and Content Temporary camp at Dornock, Perth and Kinross This Roman temporary camp is at Dornock. It stands within the loop of a river. The NW side of the fort has unfortunately been destroyed due to river erosion. This is an aerial view of the site. It shows the SW side of the camp. The entrance in the middle of the defensive line is also very obvious, as are the S and W corners. The site was discovered through aerial photography in 1962. So far, only trial excavations have taken place. These confirmed the existence of a V-shaped ditch. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
