Scope and Content Corporation Cheese Market, Nos 13-19 Walls Street, Glasgow This market was relocated to this site in about 1902-5, having previously been associated with the fruit and vegetable market in Candleriggs. It was the smallest of the city markets in Glasgow. This shows the Walls Street frontage of the market, which incorporated its vehicular access. The building extended through to Albion Street, in which the offices were situated. This market was still in full operation in 1965. Its principal user relocated to new premises in the late 1970s, and the market has since been converted to other uses. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
