Scope and Content Warehouse, Scotland's Close, Bo'ness, Falkirk This building, dated 1779, was situated close to the seashore before railway and dock construction on reclaimed land severed its immediate connection with the Forth estuary. It may well have been built as a tenement, but was certainly used for some time as a warehouse, probably a bonded one. This shows the building (centre) from the south-west, looking along Scotland's Close. The surrounding buildings are Victorian. The original harbour of Bo'ness was at the end of Scotland's Close. This building was derelict in 1968, but was repaired and converted into a public library for the town in the 1970s. It is one of the oldest buildings in the burgh.
