Scope and Content Gray, Dunn & Co Biscuit Factory, No 115 Stanley Street, Glasgow This factory was founded in 1861 by Gray, Dunn & Co, and rebuilt and extended on several occasions. The oldest part of the complex to survive in 1967 was a building designed by John Baird, Junior, and built in 1875-6. This shows the frontage of the works, with the 1875-6 block on the left. The red and white blocks in the middle were designed by Stark & Rowntree, and built in 1893 and 1897. The top storey is a later addition, as is the range on the right. This is the last of Glasgow's city centre biscuit bakeries to remain in operation. Gray, Dunn & Co, now part of a larger company, was famous for its 'Blue Riband' chocolate wafer biscuits.
