In the 1890s, it was incorporated into the firm of Steel, Coulson & Company Ltd. This shows the entrance to the brewery courtyard from Croft an Righ, with the St Ann's Brewery maltings on the right. The horse lorry was maintained as publicity for the owners, Usher Vaux. This was a classic mid-19th-century brewery complex.
