Scope and Content Gravestone of Thomas Watt, Airth North Church, Falkirk This gravestone commemorates Thomas Watt, a mason, who died in 1793. Tools of the mason's craft decorate the reverse face of Thomas' gravestone. Hammers, chisels and a plumbline, as well as the compass and square, are carved in detail. The graveyards of Scotland are an important part of the cultural heritage of the country and can provide fascinating information for people interested in family or local history, as well as vernacular art.
