Scope and Content Cairns at Logie Newton, Auchterless, Aberdeenshire There are three cairns on the S slope of Kirk Hill by Logie Newton farm. The later cairns are built slightly smaller. They are constructed using kerbs of large boulders.. This is a view of the cairns. The kerbs are formed by large quartzite blocks, up to 1.3 m long. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
