Scope and Content Former salmon-fishing station, Tayport This set of buildings consists of a pair of two-storey houses and the remains of a large vaulted ice-house. The salmon boats were based in the small harbour which preceded the 1847 railway harbour. This view shows the buildings from the east, with the ice-house at the far end. The single-storey cottage to the left may have been part of the station. By 1977 the ice-house had been converted into a double garage by knocking out part of the rear wall and inserting a floor and doors. This was the furthest east of the Tay salmon-fishing stations.
