Scope and Content Workers' housing, Tulloch Bleachworks This bleachworks differed from others in the area in being on an elevated site, and was steam-powered from the start. It is situated on the lade supplying water to Perth industries, and had its own workers' housing. This view shows the five blocks of two-storey terraced two-storey houses built to house workers in the bleachfield. These were tenements, with dwellings opening off a central close and common stair. The works was in multiple use by the 1970s, but was externally little altered. Both these houses and single-storey cottage-style blocks across the road, were still lived in, in 1976.
