Scope and Content Mill of Glenbuchat, Aberdeenshire This is a small upland water-powered corn mill, on a rectangular plan, with a detached granary. It was powered by a low-breast paddle wheel 0.71 by 3.66m, driving a single pair of stones. This view shows the detached granary. Its original slate roof has been replaced in corrugated iron. In 1976 it contained a belt-driven oat bruiser which could be driven by a tractor. The mill itself was in 1976 being used as a barn and garage. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
