Date 22/5/1976

Collection Papers of Professor John R Hume, economic and industrial historian, Glasgow, Scotland

Catalogue Number SC 495063

Category On-line Digital Images

Scope and Content Attadale Halt, Highland This unmanned halt was opened in 1870 by the Dingwall and Skye Railway. It was next to a siding on the line, and consisted of a timber-fronted platform with a tiny vertically-boarded waiting room. This view shows the station from the platform side, with the waiting room in the centre, and the siding beyond. There were several unmanned halts on the Dingwall and Skye, which penetrated country where road communication was difficult. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
