Date 9/6/1976

Collection Papers of Professor John R Hume, economic and industrial historian, Glasgow, Scotland

Catalogue Number SC 494482

Category On-line Digital Images

Scope and Content Mill of Corinancy, Banffshire This was a water-powered corn mill on a rectangular plan, serving an upland area, and therefore fairly small in scale. The machinery had been removed by 1976. This view shows the mill from the west, with the kiln on the right and the milling range beyond. Note the metal ventilator with swivelling head, a late feature. By 1976 the mill was being used as a store, but the shell was being kept in good order. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
