Scope and Content Symbol stone known as Clach Biorach (or Clach Chairidh) at Edderton, Ross and Cromarty, Highland This stone stands in a field and is probably a prehistoric standing stone to which two symbols were later added. The Gaelic names mean the Pointed Stone or the Weir Stone. The remains of a cairn and cist are nearby. The stone has two symbols incised on one side. At the top is a fish though the carving is weathered and only two fins can be made out. Below is a double-disc and Z-rod which has been carved vertically to fit the stone. The discs are rimmed and decorated. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
