Scope and Content Sandstone quarry, Locharbriggs, Dumfriesshire On the other side of the main A701 road through Locharbriggs from the operating quarry were older buildings and equipment, including a disused maintenance workshop, and an open-sided stone-finishing shop. This view shows partial interior details of the stone-finishing workshop, with two hand-cranes used for handling stone blocks visible. This workshop appears to have been demolished, as one of the cranes is now displayed outside the offices of Baird and Stevenson on the main A701 road through Locharbriggs.
