Scope and Content Part of Dalmonach Printworks, Bonhill, Dunbartonshire This calico-printing works was founded in 1786, and rebuilt 1812-13 by James Black and Co, after a fire. The works was much altered over the years. The buildings shown here are outside the works gate, but seem to have operated in connection with it. They were a school and schoolmaster's house, and could well date from the 1812-13 rebuilding. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
