Scope and Content St Margaret's Works (linen), Dunfermline, Fife St Margaret's Works was built for the manufacture of linen damask. It consisted of a series of blocks of workshops built over a period. This view shows the west tower of a range built in1900, with renaissance detailing, in Foundry Street. This block is linked with buildings on the other side of the street by a covered bridge. This was one of the largest of Dunfermline's linen damask factories. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
