Scope and Content Photograph album with views of Kinnaird House, Stirlingshire and the Forrester family as well as Iona Abbey, Kirkmichael and Dunoon. Dark green textured hard-backed album with black corners and spine (missing) containing 28 card pages with photographs (only 13 used). Three of the photographs are loose. The photograph album includes very high quality views of Kinnaird House, Stirlingshire (since demolished), the gardens and estate and portraits of the Forrester family and friends in a conservatory. There are also photographs of Kirkmichael (presumably in Perthshire), a shooting lodge, some unidentified buildings, other country houses, sailing boats racing on the Clyde outside Dunoon and a group photograph at Iona Abbey. The photographer has not been identified and none of the photographs are dated but they are possibly from around 1890 before Kinnaird House was demolished. In the back of the album is a newscutting from ‘The Statesman’ from 1922 with an article on amateur golf in India and a championship won by Mr G D Forrester.
