Scope and Content Town Pier, North Queensferry, Fife There was probably a pier here from medieval times, but the present structure is probably no earlier than the 18th century. The western breakwater, with its pinned top course, is probably of c1810. This view shows the pier from the landward end, with the ashlar masonry of the western breakwater on the right. This pier is once again in use for a ferry link to the Deep Sea World aquarium in North Queensferry. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
