Scope and Content Former bakery off Slateford Road, Edinburgh This is a large former bakery, latterly belonging to the Weston Biscuit Co. It consists of a large block of single-storey workshops, with a classical red and white brick frontage. The works had little public presence. This view shows the classical façade on the west front of the building. The elaborate treatment was probably applied because the works was in a predominantly residential area. The Weston Biscuit Co was the nucleus of what became United Biscuits. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
