Scope and Content Barclay, Curle's Elderslie ship repair yard, Clydebank/ Yoker, Glasgow This yard combined the former Barclay, Curle West Yard, closed in the 1930s, and the Elderslie Dry Docks, built 1904, 1933 and 1965, the last two on part of the shipyard. This view shows number two dry dock, built 1933, looking east. This photograph was taken after the yard had been closed. It was bought by Yarrow Shipbuilders, and has been integrated into their yard.
