Scope and Content Brown moc-croc hard-backed album titled 'Photographs', containing six double-sided window pages of brown card and stamped 'WB&S, 1E4' in back cover. Pencilled inside front cover 'Mr Wm Baird. 7 Gladstone Ave, Barrhead' also 'James Baird' and 'Peter Baird' - they may be among the four men on holiday in the first and nearly last pictures, c.1900 - 1910. Nine loose portraits and groups date from c.1901-1949 and there are a few architectural photographs. Views include Skelmorlie Aisle; Tarbet; warships on the Clyde and a faded view of Ardrishaig pier. A photograph taken by C &F McKean, Bridge Street, Musselburgh, in an envelope marked "On Active Service" and addressed to Mr and Mrs J Brodie, 44 Temple Park, Edinburgh, shows a soldier. A snap of a baby is captioned PJ Ritchie.
