Scope and Content Milldens Mill, near Aberlemno, Angus This water-powered corn mill has a datestone of 1685, but is probably entirely of 18th/19th century construction. The main mill range is on an L-plan, three storey, with a two-storey extension. The kiln has a tall louvered ventilator. This view shows the granary on the left, with the wall supporting the lade in front of it. The two-storey extension is on the right, and in between is the gable of the main mill range, which has an internal wheel. The mill was in good external condition in 1974, but the state of the wheel and machinery was not investigated. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
