Scope and Content Dunkeld & Birnam Station, Birnam, Perthshire This station was built as a terminus by the Perth & Dunkeld Railway, and designed by Andrew Heiton of Perth. It became a through station with the opening of the Inverness & Perth Junction Railway in 1863. This view shows the little office of the goods agent at the entrance to the goods yard, latterly a coal merchant's office. The station was manned in 1974, but is now unstaffed.
