Scope and Content Broch at Caisteal Grugaig, Totaig, Lochalsh, Highland Caisteal Grugaig is built overlooking the junction of three lochs. It makes use of a small rocky knoll as its base. The broch was cleared out in 1899 and thus many of the structural features are visible. The entrance in the NE wall has a triangular lintel over it and leads to a passage with a guardroom off it. Set within the wall remains of a small round cell, a larger cell and a set of steps leading to what would have been a wooden floor. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
