Scope and Content Covesea Skerries Lighthouse, Morayshire This lighthouse was designed by Alan Stevenson, and consists of a tall tapering circular-section tower with a plain-railed gallery supported on a corbel course with pointed-arch openings. The keepers' houses have Egyptian detailing. This view shows the lighthouse from the east. The lantern is the original, with rectangular panes. Since 1974 the lighthouse has been automated, and the houses are now used as holiday accommodation. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
