Scope and Content Glendullan Distillery, Dufftown, Banffshire This Scotch malt whisky distillery was founded by William Williams and Sons Ltd, blenders. The original distillery was rebuilt in 1962, and a large new distillery was added on an adjacent site in 1972, with six stills. This view shows the new distillery, with the stillhouse on the left and the boiler house on the right. The buildings are in the house style developed by Scottish Malt Distillers in the 1960s. The construction of the new distillery here was part of a large-scale expansion programme undertaken by Scottish Malt Distillers in the 1960s and 70s to cope with rapidly increasing demand for Scotch Whisky.
