Scope and Content Cardow Distillery, Morayshire This Scotch malt whisky distillery was built on this site in 1884, extended in 1887 and again in 1897. It was partly rebuilt in 1960-1 by Scottish Malt Distillers. This view shows the distillery from the south, with 19th century warehouses on the left. The white-painted building beyond is part of the 1960-1 rebuilding. Cardow Distillery's output of malt whisky is used mainly for blending, but some is marketed as a single malt, under the name Cardhu. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
