Scope and Content Former Aberlour Station, Morayshire This station was opened in 1863 by the Strathspey Railway, and had a passing loop. The main building was on the south-bound platform, and was a single-storey structure. This view shows the station from the south west. The timber pediment is an unusual feature. This station was closed to passengers in 1965 but the line remained open for freight until 1971. Since 1974 the station buildings have been converted into a community centre.
