Scope and Content Road bridge over river Tummel, Ballinluig, Perthshire This bridge was designed by Allan D Stewart and built by Somervail & Co, Dalmuir. It had three spans, the main one being a bowed double Warren truss. This view shows the bridge from the south. Owing to its light construction it was by 1974 used as a footbridge, vehicles using instead the former Ballinluig railway viaduct. The bridge was, according to a plaque on it, built 'by public subscription and local munificence and effort, mainly co-ordinated and directed by the Revd A Meldrum MA, minister of Logierait'.
