Scope and Content Edradour Distillery, near Pitlochry, Perthshire This is the last of the farm-scale distilleries in Scotland, of which there were many in Perthshire. It has two very small stills, and everything else in proportion. This view shows the distillery maltings, with its pyramid-roofed kiln and ventilator. Edradour survived most of the post-war modernisation of the whisky industry until the 1980s, though by 1974 malting had ceased and the stills were steam heated. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
