Scope and Content Former Innerwick Station, East Lothian Innerwick was a wayside station on the North British Railway's line from Edinburgh to Berwick. It was unusual for the line in having a two storey building. This view shows the station building from the railway side. The low-pitched roof and overhanging eaves are typical of the buildings constructed for the opening of this line. Innerwick Station served a small village and a farming area. The station could not survive road competition, and had been closed for some time when this photograph was taken. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
