Description Dod Mill View of mill from W

Date 1974

Collection Papers of Professor John R Hume, economic and industrial historian, Glasgow, Scotland

Catalogue Number SC 431700

Category On-line Digital Images

Scope and Content Dod Mill, Legerwood, Berwickshire This was a small country mill set into a hollow. It was significantly altered early this century. This view shows the downstream gable of the mill, with the brick house added to protect the water turbine which supplanted the original water wheel. The small size of this mill ia a reflection of the scale of the local community. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
