Scope and Content New Mill, The Whinney, Bonjedward, Roxburghshire This was a typical large water-powered grain mill, three-storeys high. This view shows the mill proper on the left, and the kiln on the right, The single-storey range was probably a stable and cartshed. The mill was larger than it appears, for a full-height wing at right angles to the left hand end of the main range. By the time this photograph was taken the mill machinery had been removed Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
