Scope and Content Arrat Mill, near Brechin, Angus This was an early flax mill, the older part being a three-storey, three-bay building, to which was added a two-storey, six-bay block. The wheel and machinery have all been removed. This view shows the mill from the south east, with the older part nearest to the camera. Note the marks on the gable showing where lower buildings have been demolished. This mill is now a store. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
